Green is the new black, only better

Green is the hot thing right now, in every possible way.

What inspired me to write this? So, I went to see Atonement while I was in Bruges and I fell in love with, what seems to me, the prettiest dress ever, and I am now developing an obsession with green , even though my infatuation with green dresses started a while ago, first with a
shot of an Nylon intern, and then with this gorgeous dress by Stella McCartney (which led to this ) and now I'm seeing green everywhere.
Onto other green stuff (um ,not that green stuff), I'm mad about the Boston Celtics (if you didn't get it, I'm talking NBA). Getting Kevin Garnett in their team was a damn good choice. They are having a stunning season, standing tall as first in the eastern conference, leading by 33 wins and only 7 losses up to now! ( so you may not know this about me yet, but I'm a basketball freak. This spring I'm going to visit NYC with my family and get to attend 2 basketball games!!! (Heat vs Knicks, and then Nets vs Suns! Talk about amazing).

I'm also developing a crush on super hot Micky Green (Green not being her real family name, but chose it as seen green is her favorite color). The girl is absolutely gorgeous, looking more as if she were of Nordic origins than Aussie. Her voice is deep and low, and her music is so appropriate for a calm afternoon doing DYI's on your bedroom floor. (as seen not everyone seems to know her, check her out : http://www.myspace.com/mickygreenmusic "Oh!" is my favorite)

Last but not least, vote green (yes, I am aware that most of us don't even have the legal age yet -whatever). The best way to save the planet is : use your bike! I was amazed in Flanders ; most people there go everywhere by bike, and they have huuuge parkings for bicycles. And really how chic is it? All round girls in heels and beautiful long coats cycling it up. Not convinced yet? This Sartorialist picture is sure to make you change your mind!(Remember) RedBikew

Green off!

Eye Candy : 1

As seen I'm mostly writing about fashion here, I tought it'd be nice to make a change....Open your eyes, open your ears! Here are some of my favorite videos and tunes of the moment.

At the top of my list : Red Hot Chili Peppers : Hump de bump. Gotta love the ghetto video!

- Gym Class Heroes : Cupid's chokehold. WOOSh! WOOSH! WOOSh! My favorite. I find it funny and adorable.

- Lil' Mama : Lipgloss. At first the song is quite cool, but after a while it just irritates me. But I kind of like the video...the dance in the basketball room is hot! The whole concept of no music is interesting...it reminds me of Missy Elliot's "Pass that Dutch" (one of my favorite songs)Doesn't this remind you of someone's first video? Well all school-based videos do, to me. (cough Britney cough)

-Sean Kingston : Beautiful Girls. Turn the sound off and just look. I really don't like the sonf but I love the video's whole now/before concept. Since I'm obessed with the 50's this video could only be a hit to me, haha.

-M.I.A : Bucky Done Gun.
M.I.A has been one of my faves for some time now, and I just discovered her cool video of the excellent "Bucky Done Gun".

-Kanye West : Stronger. The song is so catchy, and the video is awesome. Loving the whole futuristic vibe, reminds me of Balenciaga S/S and all the other technotronic collections such as , of course, Hussein Chalayan and Dolce and Gabbana. And, wow, Cassie is HOT.

Okay, end of part one. I decided I'd do this every month now.
Hope you enjoyed it!

Peaches's My Girl

" I used to smoke weed every day during ten years, but I've stopped. Now, each time I smoke, it's like, wow! Just for fun,cos every day it makes you tired. I sniff a line of coke from time to time and I like mushrooms. Ecstasy once a year, it's funny. People tell me I should go running, but I'm not sure if it's really that good. I like swimming. And cycling. "

Eté 67

Because everyone deserves to listen to their music.

Yes, everyone. Even your goldfish, who is orange btw ( why did english people called those orange fishes gold fishes? English people suck. Okay, french call it "poisson rouge". Technically, it's not red. But red is nearer to orange than gold is. Maybe the guy was daltonien? -I have no idea what it is in english. Not sorry. Learn french, nom de Dieu!)
Okay, back to the point, I will talk about them.

First, the singer.
Ahh Nicolas!! Nicolas Nicolas Nicolas....
I am in love. His voice is the best thing ever made on this planet since mexican food and olliebollen. You could get wet in your pants just because of his voice. So hot.
And, the face.
Seriously, do you know anybody with mono-eyebrows who looks this hot? (Man, did I just use the word "hot" more than once?I sound like Paris Hilton. I must be high on sugar or something)
Image and video hosting by TinyPic
No.

Then, the music.
Some kind of jazzy rock so lighthearted and cheerful even my grandpa loves it. And you have to know, my grandpa doesn't like anything but traditional serbian music. Not that this sounds like serbian folkloric music. Thank god it doesn't !
Plus, they're one of the very few belgian bands who still sing in french.
Some songs are great for jumping round your room with your cat, others so light you can listen to them to fall asleep along his slow, sexy voice....
Now you're going to sleep well.

Aye!
